This mimics hitting a pole, or an off-center crash into another car — more common in the real world than a full frontal head-on crash.

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Quest. While attempting to close the rear passenger side door, a child came in proximity with the door and the door failed to retract on time. The child was uninjured. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer sent an engineer to inspect the vehicle. The engineer diagnosed that the side door motors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired by the dealer. The failure mileage was 8,393.
