This issue happens almost every day. After the car sits idle at a stop light, the gas pedal does not want to move. The only way to get it to move is to tap it rather hard with your foot to get it to move hoping that it doesn't surge the car. I've been told that it could be the throttle body. I've cleaned out but nothing seems to help. The pedal will not stick if you keep driving and do quick stops. But if you are in a normal to long stop light or in heavy traffic, it occurs almost all of the time. Thankfully, I've decided to get rid of the car due to this and other reasons.

This Nissan is my husband's car, but now I am driving it.

My husband and i have experienced an accelerator pedal sticking problem and I cannot get the car to move forward without pounding on the accelerator. It is an intermittent problem, so when we took it to the dealer, he was not able to duplicate the problem - but it still exists and getting worse. This problem has occurred about 6or 7 time during January 2013 through now. It always happens after I have been at a stop at signal. My husband is planning to take this car to dealer to check up again. January 12,2013, which was yesterday, the pedal stick so hard, I have to push twice harder. I decided to find problems. I am worried about safety now

Thanks
