Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Subject: Drivers are misled by the newer illuminated dashboards to think their headlights are on several times, I drove during the night and I was misled by the brightly lit dashboard into believing that my headlights are on. In fact, they were off. This is a problem that many other drivers report with all the newer cars that must have an illuminated dashboard during the day. Please see a detailed description in this article: also see the hundreds of user comments on this subject. What is needed? new rules on how to prevent drivers driving their cars during dark with the lights off. A study is needed to find the right fix for this problem and issue new mandatory guidelines to vehicle manufacturers. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible and prevent more cars to be manufactured with this flaw. Accidents do happen if cars are have thier lights off during th night.
