When I drive my truck under rain or wet road I have several incidents if my truck tires slip the truck goes out of control if I keep pressing the pedal. Is scary feeling specially because losing control under rain is to unsafe. I know it that on my dashboard the airbags warning is blinking is that has something to do with my incidents ? Can you guys fix this problem thank you. Is raining season and I don't want to suffer injuries or death

My Titan is a 4 door not 2, also I am not sure if these recalls I saw are related to the problems I am having but my light indicator (as in the pictures I provided) has come on twice I immediately turn it off and I wait for the engine to cool it gets really hot but it doesn't indicate any over heating on the dash indicators (it might just be me but it seems hot enough to be overheating) and once cooled i check the fluids and refill the oil as needed (coolant level been fine) but this has happened to me now 2 times in a 3 day period so I believe there is a leak. Also about my shifter I'm not sure if this applies but I have the shifter you can switch to manual (I've never switch to manual bc I don't know how to drive manual) but I have an issue with it just in automatic sometimes when I shift from park to drive it doesn't seem to switch from park to drive and the vehicle stays in the parked position while the shift is in drive and I have to shift back to park wait a second and then shift back into drive a second time before I get the truck into driving mode. I added some pictures of recalls that are for my year make and model truck that seem like the same issues I'm dealing with and wasn't sure if they applied to my vehicle and just got missed with the amount of owners it's had

My vehicle is a 2004 Nissan Titan pickup truck and when I'm driving and I start to slow down to stop when I get about 40 miles per hour it wants to speed up real fast on me and I'm trying to stop at when it's doing it when it drops down to 25 it does it again and then again at 5 or 10 miles an hour does it is very very very dangerous because of almost wrecked several times it's so bad that it's messed up my brakes because now my my pads are making noises rotors it does it every single time you drive the vehicle

In July 2016, I appealed to Nissan North America for paint defects on my truck. The paint continues to peel off. My truck in patches and has had no other repairs. I did a presursory search online and found numerous owners with paint delaminating, peeling off and chipping.I filed a complaint with Nissan and they denied my claim stating that it was aattached to a past warranty, but it clearly is a larger issue. I looked at the club Nissan forum, and carcomplaints website and others are having a similar issue.

Driveshaft failure, leading to differential lock. While driving down the highway, the driveshaft came loos and fell out of the truck. No one was behind me so no one was hurt! the pinon yoke that slides onto the pinon gear shaft of the ring and pinon differential assembly using a spline shaft. The pinon nut has completely unthreaded off the pinon shaft, but there was no damage to the threads on the spline. As soon as the pinon nut began to back off it would all the pinon gear to move against the ring gear in a forward and rearward motion against the shims. There is a wide range of complaints of the 04 Titan forums that have indicated the rear differential and drive shaft problems and that Nissan has covered some of them under a good will warranty. If they are knowing about all these problems and covering some of them why are they not recalling this. If anyone would have been behind me they could have been killed if this went through these window. Sd lyons (5083369393) has seen this happen and a woman been paralyzed for life as the drive shaft went through her window and took off her roof and slice her head. How many more people before Nissan will have to recall this!

My husband was involved in an accident August 17th 2016 resulting in his death. Investigators can not figure out what caused the accident but his vehicle caught fire. We're not even certain the airbags deployed. When I looked at the truck after the accident there was no proof the airbags had deployed and cause for fire is unknown. Emergency brake and rear brakes got covered in gear oil because the rear differential seal leaking. It started spewing all over the place and when I tried to come to a stop it took way longer than normal forcing me to swerve to miss a pedestrian and hitting the curb and a bush. This should be a safety recall because the differential leaking on the brakes is definitely a safety concern.

While traveling to go on a 13 hour drive, all of our engine lights came on and the truck became sluggish. We had truck towed and got a call from dealership saying what happen was muffler/exhaust unit fell off during travel and the unit remaining got so hot it burned out entire part of truck including, ECU, rear right harness, and 3 other things. Cost to fix over $3,000. After paying hefty bill shop manager said this was the 5th Titan in our small town he had same issue with and that he agrees this is the worst place for a unit on a truck and manufacturer should of put other location. I then filed a complaint with Nissan Consumer Affairs. They acted like they cared and then 3 weeks later they denied helping me at all saying it was out of warranty. I did research on line and lots of people are having same issue. This is a huge safety concern and I think needs to be recalled and I need to be reimbursed for my repairs. I find it odd that the exhaust manifold also cracked on the truck on the right and left side and Nissan covers that until 80,000 miles.

Within a 5 mile range the vehicle started to whine, then clank, then lock-up. Emergency brakes failed and rear differential failed... vehicle was undriveable. This vehicle just hit 100,000 miles. Repair is > 1/5th of vehicle value. This is a very common failure in 2004 Nissan Titans. Very dangerous - especially if towing a trailer (which is what this vehicle is advertised to do)

Went to start truck and as I started driving there was a loud bang from the rear of truck and the truck stopped moving forward then the engine revved and it seemed to catch and the truck moved forward slowly. The entire rear end of the truck went out and now needs to be replaced. Lucky I was only going 5mph.

My rear axel differential on my 2004 Nissan Titan SE leaked gear oil for the second time in 3 years. My truck had 59,900 miles when it occurred for the second time. I called Nissan motor company. They said they would not cover the repair. I had to repair the truck at my expense due to Nissan bad designed of the rear differential axel (seals).

The door handles on my 2004 Nissan Titan all freeze shut when it gets cold out. It seems to let water come in around handle and than it freezes. This prevent me from being able to gain entrance into vehicle. This occurs everytime it is cold out especially in winter. Nissan refuses to pay for repairs as vehicle is out of warranty and it will cost roughly $175 for parts per door plus labor. I guess in later models they have redesigned them but refuses to fix vehicles with old old designed handles.

Rust spots on the roof. Paint chips over 95% of the vehicles body. I am not aware of how this issue precipitated as this vehicle is garaged when at home and in a secure parking location on a military air base when I am at work. I have met with ferman Nissan service manager eric green, a ferman body shop professional named 'chris' and Mr. Battista, the collision center director. All concur there is a real paint issue however the Nissan representative was the decision maker on warranty repairs of which he denied a claim. The rust must be 'perforated' through according to ferman Nissan which it is not as yet. Also; I was told it is 'out of warranty' which I now have 39K miles on the vehicle and this was reported at the time of purchase then again when I took it in for the 32K miles service.

Can not read computer-generated information in daylight, cloudy or otherwise. Includes gear indicator, tow mode, mileage, air conditioning, etc. Had an army lt. Col. On his knees trying to read the gauges as we were driving through las vegas, nv. Prior to this trip out West, all of my driving had been local and infrequent (I use a more economical car for in-town/local driving), and the speedometer is not computer generated. This is unsafe and I do not wish to be killed trying to see the dash instruments. I have driven with the rheostat turned all the way up, with no effect/benefit. I bought this truck to tow my trailer and travel. I am unsafe during daylight and towing a trailer at night is not acceptable nor practical. I called the manufacturer (Nissan) who directed me to take the vehicle to my local dealer (jenkins in lakeland, fl). While the head of service (Mr. Dunkin) agreed he could not read the information on a cloudy day, his only advice was to turn the rheostat all the way up, which was already done. He said nothing could be done. Did not give me any paperwork to prove I was there. Condition is on-going and is very dangerous. A person could easily take full attention off of driving to try to read the gauges. This could and would cause accidents. The number of failures is every time I drive in daylight.

I have taken my truck in twice now for the brakes and the carpet being soaking wet from the truck leaking somewhereand the passenger airbag light not turning off. They resurfaced my brakes and said the leak was from the A/C. they also told us about the brake problem with the 2004 Titans and that they would put us on a waiting list for the replacement parts. We are now taking it in again for the same problems. The floor is soaking wet and we have not ran the A/C. the brakes are shaking violently again, and not to mention the new problem of the cargo light turning on by itself when it is parked. I only have about 8300 miles on my truck and I only drive 5 miles one way to work. These are major problems that are occuring in such short time of having the truck.
