Relay fuses(black) blows out during the summer months mainly. Everything stops. It gives a warning where truck misses or jerks. Dashboard goes crazy. Lights blink off and on. Once fuses are replaced, it has to reset before it starts. It has been 2 years of these issues. Replaced entire box, but it does the same thing. At cannon Nissan, jackson, ms parts dept. We were told they sell a lot of fuses for the same issue.

The mechanism that goes to the air conditioner remains on after the truck is shut off causing the battery to drain fast. It has left me stranded many times even after changing the battery. It happens every time the truck is shut off.

Pulling a trailer when the ABS & slip lights came on, then the service engine soon light came on. After getting to the camp site I looked under the truck and found that the wiring harness had burned and melted fusing several wires together. This caused me to have no electric brake control to my trailer. Also some fire damage to the under frame and other parts of vehicle...updated 10/01/14

The Nissan Titan button on the shift lever that shifts manually, after manual shift is turned on, stopped working. This happened while I was pulling a trailer coming down from the mountains. This left my transmission in 4th gear and was not able to use the compression to help slow me down. I was able to get the truck back into normal automatic mode and I had to ride my breaks down the mountain to a flat area and swap vehicles to tow the trailer. After this incident I found that this issue is very common and is specifically caused by normal use of the vehicle. Meaning using the shift lever to pull the tuck out of park and back into park. This motion starts breaking the wiring on the controller. Nissan stated that there was nothing on record of this being a safety recall.

The wiring harness in the king cab version frays and sets off the airbag light. There is a recall on certain Nissan Titans, but they are before this model year. Nissan obviously didn't change anything because I read about this all over the internet, yet no one can get the harness as part of a recall because it doesn't cover our model year.

The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning while driving 45 mph. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The dealer stated that the failure was due to the electronic control unit. The dealer replaced the electronic control unit. The headlights then failed to illuminate. The contact also stated that the rear axle failed while driving 60 mph and the rear axle was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and they denied assistance with repairs. The headlight failure was not repaired. The failure mileage was 138,000 and the current mileage 148,000. Sm.

2008 Titan shift gear not responding, will not allow me to engage to lower gears (1-4). Stays on D only. The gear shifter button will not respond when the button is pressed. According to other Titan owners it appears to be a wiring harness as they have indicated the same problem, the wire breaks due to not enough slack in the wiring harness. Nissan service center stated that they will not honor the transmission warranty since I have 64000K miles on the vehicle.

The ipdm or intelligent power distribution module failed in a vehicle just over three years old, with 20,000 miles on it. This part was recalled in the 2004-2006 Nissan Titans. The failure of this part means that the vehicle does not start and must be towed to a dealership for repair.
