Cutlass Ciera SL 3.3L

I have a 90 old Cutlass Ciera sl 3.3L. The car dies out when I back out of my driveway. In February 2015 I had a high pressure power steering hose put on, front brake pads and rotors, new coil packs and new throttle position sensor, two or three new fuel injectors, and an oil change. I paid over $1,000.00 for this work and still my car's rpm's drop from 10 to below 5 while I am driving. I have been back to the mechanic more than eight times.

The last time I went was on Tuesday April 14, 2015. He said the rpms keep dropping because the throttle position sensor needs a gasket and bolts. He put those on with a price tag of $84.00 I was wondering why he did not do that in February. After he put on the gasket and bolts, when I left, the car is still running badly, the rpm's are still falling below 10 when idling and when I back out of my garage, the car dies. As soon as I left the shop this last time, the car ran so badly I came right back to the shop. I told him the idle is not up high enough. The mechanic said, "It has a vacuum leak and he sprayed something under the hood on something under the hood. Today is three days later and the car is running badly.

Please give me some suggestions to take to my mechanic that will assist him in getting it right once and for all. I have 220,000 miles, however, the car runs very well except for when all the gauges lights come on, the car dies, the wheel looses power and have to put the car in neutral while in motion to restart it. Thank you for listening.
