Purchased (4) summit radial trac plus high performance tires. Had (2) tires fail within (2) months with less than (2,000) miles. Both tires had identical blowouts in a radial direction. The tires were properly inflated & had no puncture marks.

Goodyear regatta 225/65R16 sidewall failures - four tires of this brand have failed on our 1998 olds Intrigue. Three are from a replacement set purchased around 2002, and one of the pro-rata warranty replacements just failed. The first three were full-on blowouts at low speeds without hitting any bumps and the most recent was multiple large bulges in the sidewall and a flat tire developed while driving at 70 mph.

During a safety check/tire balance prior to an extended roadtrip, my mechanic found all four tires were suffering tread seperation. The two in the rear had 4 to 6" splits in the inside sidewalls, and both front tires had broken belts, forcing me to purchase a new set. Also, according to the mechanic, two of the tires had plugs, although I am the only driver and have never had a flat with this car. The tires were properly maintained and balanced since new. The tire dealer marked the tires to be returned to Goodyear for possible adjustment, but Goodyear has not responded. I do not have any of the requested tire information since I do not have the tires.
