Had the transmission rebuilt, and was informed that Intrigues don't accept fixes very well to the "major" things. Needless to say, April 2012, the Transmission still has a very hard time shifting to the new gears or even idleing.

This transmission suddenly has a mind of its own! Drove great for awhile, then suddenly it started jumping gears like it didn't know what gear to be in. Took it in for service and they replaced the valve body and pressure control solenoid. I get it back and and now it shifts real hard into 3rd, occasionally it won't downshift (automatically), and I can hear it changes gears up and down while coasting through town. So, now it's back at the dealership (as I write this) for more work. They called and said they found a new problem in the tranny, but had to order parts in. I'll be real interested to see how this car is when I get it back this time. This car has an electronically-controlled transmission, 4-speed automatic which I hear is fairly new thing, at least in your average sedan. I am ready to dump this car even though I love the way it drives! Think I'll go for a truck this time.
