The coolant seeps into the engine due to a failed gasket from what I hear. The van overheats after driving even a short distance and the cost to repair is high for all problems. I feel this should be a recall issue or a courtesy fix as it is known and documented by many customers and could leave one stranded for long periods of time. I don't feel this is a vehicle I would trust for long trips anywhere and this is what I would tell anyone looking to buy it.

This dex cool coolant eats at your gaskets and causes so many issues. I overheat after running the van for five minutes. I have no heat. Went through 12 liters of anti freeze just to get from one side of the city to the other took three hours to do so. Instead of 45 minutes during a heavy traffic time.

Within days of purchase the vehicle overheated. Mechanic said the thermostat had to be replaced, did that. Over heated. Said the system had to be bled, did that. Over heated. Said the radiator had to be replaced, did that. Over heated. Said a gasket of some kind was a frequent problem in this engine and it's a known GM issue, did that. Over heated. Took it to the dealer who agreed that this engine is a MAJOR problem for them. Said now it has a cracked head and it costs more to fix than the van is worth. We've had it a few months, driven it a few weeks. And it's worth zero. Biggest piece of junk GM ever made.
