The clock spring failed, three years ago and was repaired at consumer's expense. Manufacturer's recall did not include this vehicle.due to VIN. A month later, consumer received recall letter, and was told to send a letter for reimbursement, even though the receipt was lost. Dealer lost the records, and the manufacturer purged the records and consumer could not be reimbursed.

The component failure was noticed by the airbag light coming on and the horn not working. A clicking noise could be heard in the steering column and since I did not know the potential severity of the problem requested the dealer to service it. I was not made aware that this part controlled the functional of the vehicles safety provisions like the air bag/ and horn.

Air bag light is on, the horn does not work and the speed control is inoperative. There are Chrysler service bulletins on the clock spring wiring harness but no recall. This is a safety hazard (no horn, no airbag) and should be addressed by a recall.

This van was purchased off lease with 18000 miles and less than 1 year old. After 1 year the vehicle was out of warranty due to mileage (36000). The wipers would go on and off at will. The dealer replaced the battery for $100. The problem continued and eventually lights started to turn on in the interior of the vehicle on their own. The cruise control worked intermittantly. The air bag light came on intermittantly. The body control module was replaced. We didn't leave the dealership and the problem started again. The dealer ordered another body control module. It has been 3 and one half years and now the problems are starting again. The vehicle has stalled on several occassions. The horn does not work. The cruise control does not work. The air bag light is on continuously now. We do not have the $1000 dollars for replacement of the air bag. We understand that there are others with this same problem. Is NHTSA going to make chrystler right these electrical problems. I have read about engine fires due to electrical shorts. It certainly appears that we are not the only ones experiencing electrical problems with our minivan.
