This was the second time our AC compressor failed. The first time we were on the highway, when the bearing went out. The belt broke stranding us on the highway. We paid $750 to have this repaired. Exactly 1 year later, the compressor failed and the evaporator failed. The repair cost was estimated to be $2500, so needless to say we traded this vehicle in. We were told that they were beginning to see this more often on these vehicles. We bought this van brand new and had every scheduled maintenance item completed on time. We really babied this vehicle hoping to get 150000+ miles out of it. I gave Dodge one more chance, cause we traded it in on a 06 Grand Caravan.

Hope it lasts longer.
