Voyager SE 3.3L Flex Fuel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 147,000 miles

I will never buy a Plymouth or Chrysler minivan again. well we have fixed everything on this van first the fanbelt went out, next we needed a new water pump, then the relay switch went out causing the clutch fan to burn out and just all of a sudden the micro processing computer which operates the dashboard and many of your electrical options stopped working and now the transmission is stuck in 1st gear and is burning out. this van also eats brake pads like nothing and rotors. and you better get a tire rotation several times or else your gonna need tires alot! i recommend if you have this kind of vehicle sell it before all the problems come in! oh and the o2 censors go out like crazy. horrible gas mileage

Voyager SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 52,000 miles

while driving there was a loud noise and the vehicle stopped moving. all of the transmission fluid was on the ground. The gears inside the transmission exploded and came through the outer wall of the transmission. I only have 52,000 miles on the van. I've talked to other people who have had the same problem. Chrysler is making the minivans with transmissions that are too weak for the vehicle. This should no happen a such low mileage.

I have found out the hard way that Chrysler makes a junk transmission. They have known about the design flaw in these trannys for more than a decade and have chosen to do nothing about it. They offer no compensation and my only choice in this matter is to spend a great deal of money replacing my transmission with another piece of junk with a ridiculously short warranty. These cars lose their value quickly and like many others, I'm stuck with big payments on a car which is worth almost nothing- it's not even worth a fair trade-in value to the Chrysler dealership. This car has depreciated $14000 in 4 years

With no prior warning my transmission experienced a total failure at 68,965 miles. No parts were even rebuildable. One morning I went out to leave and my van would not reverse. The tow truck left skid marks in my garage because the transmission would NOT move into neutral. No one at the dealership or the Chrysler call center can tell me what happened. I am going through the processes praying for a "good will gesture" from the company. I will follow this process into Arbitration, since I keep being reassured by the company reps I did everything right. I followed the maintenance schedule and they said that it appears all the maintenance I paid for was done. I am extremely frustrated because the transmission exhibited NO warnings, no slipping, no noises etc.
