Can anyone solve my problem? It's a great highway car, but it won't start in cold or fairly warm weather. Lots of juice -- just replaced the starter, and the fuel pump not long ago, but it won't start unless I repeatedly floor it, and then only sometimes. Help!!!!!!

My damn mechanic refuses to believe that my fuel pump is bad, he will not look at it probably because I'm a girl. He had the car for a week, I brought it home yesterday and this morning it wouldn't start.
