Yes, it was a real pain in the ass when I got stopped by the police for defective equipment. Since I keep all my receipts in my owners manual I was able to show the officer how many times I had them both replaced (5 driver side, 3 passenger side). Fortunately for me he just gave me a warning. After the third trip to the dealer they found a cut wire and replaced it.. no problem since.
