I was driving and my car started to reduce speed, hesitate, and jerk when put my foot on the gas at a light to pull off or even with my foot on the gas pedal driving. My car couldn't pick up speed past 25 miles and sometime less. A message came up on my dash board stated flashing reduce engine speed. I was near auto zone when it happened so I asked to have a dianostic completed and it stated throttle/ pedal position sensor/ switch "E" circuit low input meaning code P2127.

The catalytic converter in my car needs replacement. I have been the only owner and have maintained it properly. The car has a little under 67,000 miles and occasionally loses power. It is a major safety issue as this happens sporadically. I can not with 100 percent certainty merge into traffic knowing that it will accelerate fast enough. I had a diagnostic run on the car and was told that the catalytic converter is the issue and needs replacement. I contacted the dealership in el paso, tx and they claim that some Pontiac G6 models (based on VIN) have been recalled, but that mine is not one of them. I have looked up related cases and don't understand why my car's VIN is not included. I love my car and it has served me well, until now. I hope that someone, anyone with some authority is reading this. I hope that that person does some investigating and realizes that this issue is not isolated and should be an open recall. It is most definitely a safety issue. I do not feel that it is safe to continue to drive my vehicle, but am forced to as I cannot afford to have it fixed. The acceleration issue has happened on the freeway and on city streets. I have stopped using the freeway for safety reasons. Please look into this issue.

"takata recall" in my Pontiac G6 after I hit 100000 miles I started having all kinds of problems. My ABS light keep coming on and off. My theft-deterrent alarms comes on and stay on while I drive. Then it goes off stay off for a day maybe then come back on. The traction control warning light comes on and stays on then goes off and come back on. The car pulls forward, which is scary. I drive slow because I want to make sure I can stop if I have to. I took my car to the shop. Put it on the diagnostic machine the codes that were coming up contradicts what the car is actually doing. The mechanic said I may need a computer but I may he really did not have a definitely answer on what is going on with my car. There is no recall for my (VIN) but I believe their should be.

Driving on the fwy and suddenly all of my hazard lights start turning on at once. My car started to lose power and I had to pull off to the side, not even my emergency lights would work. This is the 2nd time this has happened, the last was a few months ago and had the alternator replaced. Could it be the alternator again? I think not, I have also had issues with my power windows. I am not a mechanic but, I believe there is an electrical problem that is causing a shortage.

Car is a 2008 Pontiac G6 gxp - the car is called cybil due to it's issues going on one day and not the next. I bought the car brand new with 128 miles on it. Latest activity is the engine light coming on and the radio screen scrolling low engine power and service ESC. If you turned the car off then back on a few minutes later it would seem to run right, engine light would stay on and 3 cycles later go off. Once off it would stall and lights and messages would go off again. This happened for 10 days in a row and on the 10th day the car stalled out completely on busy main road in the middle of rush hour. Managed to get the car started, moved off the road, and towed to a certified dealer. Dealer took 3 hours ($360) to run diagnostics on the car due to generic code of P0651 showing up. At time dealer moved the car into their facility all the warnings and lights had already reset and didn't present themselves. Diagnostics showed history codes for the brake peddle sensor (which has gone off before and was an issue before the recall notice and other $$ spent figuring out why tail lights went on and off at their own will) other was cam shaft sensor (which I see other complaints on) and throttle body sensor which I see no complaints on. There are service bulletins for the cam shaft sensor for the 2.2 and 2.4, but not the high feature L7Y - this is a safety issue and if GM knows the sensors are shifting and pushing into something this needs to be recalled to fix. I am lucky I wasn't on the highway when one of these stalling issues happened. Car is currently at dealer waiting on parts to arrive to the tune of $700 - no christmas thanks to GM. The brake peddle sensor should be included in the recall for the tail lights and it is not. Please open an investigation into the cam sensor issue and make them extend the brake light recall to include the peddle sensor!

The engine will no allow me to give the car gas to accelerate, and the engine will jerk, the rpms will go up and down by itself I called the Pontiac number for help they told me that there was not a recal open for my car and they they were not abel to do anything for me very rudely.
