Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

NHTSA — Air Bags Problems

2009 Pontiac G6 (Page 2 of 2)

CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2009 is starting to have the same problems as previous model years, including the headlights blowing out due to bad connectors.

The wiring harness connections aren't a big deal to replace, as long as your dealer or mechanic doesn't charge you an arm & a leg to "diagnose" the problem.

When the passenger gets out of the vehicle the on/off light for the passenger airbag remains on even when there is no person sitting in the seat. The seat belt light also remains flashing and dings when driving. This is a distraction. The dealer informed me that it was a 1100 dollar repair. The repair is not covered under my warranty and if left un-repaired it will cause the airbag to not go off in an accident. My vehicle has less than 30,000 miles on it.
