The contact owns a 2010 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to turn as the traction control and the power steering warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was restarted and was able to function as normal. The failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering column needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that the power steering warning light illuminated as the steering wheel became difficult to turn. In addition, the contact stated that the passenger air bag indicator would illuminate when there was no passenger on the seat. The contact also stated that the drivers side headlights had to be replaced several times due to a wire melt down. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who replaced the steering column. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was advised that a code needed to be reset. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 79,000.
