My car just overheated on the highway and stopped. Thankfully there were no cars behind me to slam into me. The temperature did not show signs of overheating until the moment it happened. The fan was also broke the helps to cool the car.

I've had this car less than a year. Had problems with coolant light/over heating almost immediately. I replaced the thermostat and the problem seemed to be solved for a while. A couple of months later the light came back on and the car is losing coolant. A pressure test was done (at the high school auto shop) and I was told I needed to replace the gaskets. Filled it up with coolant and kept driving, now coolant is going even faster. LOTS of complaints like this on the 1999 model, am wondering how to get through to Pontiac with what seems to be a widespread problem.

Car has 73K on it - antifreeze coolant leak - in the middle of winter - have to wait a week until local dealership has time to fix - not under warranty any more - need to now take train to work until car is fixed. Buy a new car to not have problems like this - y 1989 Grand Am - never encounter any problems like this - will probably not buy American again. Have an 03 Grand Am GT - now I will know what to look for when it hits 70K miles.
