On 4/27/2005 I replaced the combination switch on my 2000 Grand Am, because it was making a clicking noise for about 2 weeks, when the turn signal wasn`T on and I noticed some smoke coming from the steering column. A week later I received a recall notice on the switch. GM`S consumer services sent me a form to fill out for a refund. I sumitted the forms and my claim was refused because the recall was performed on 4/26/2004. I checked my records and they did replace the switch 1 year earlier. My concern is that GM was replaceing bad with bad. My service request # 1-348061917. Customer relationship manager; krystal keel.

My complaint is when you turn on the air or the heat in the car you have to have the nob turned to "3" or you don't get anything out. Which means you end up being to warm or too cold. At levels "1" & "2" nothing blows out of the vents. This has been on going for a few months.

Right passenger seat has problems locking into place therefore when applying brakes seat rolls forward. 10 year old son head hit the windshield due to the seat not locking... also the right front passenger seat belt constricts and the seat belt has to be unbuckle and reset by the passenger.. due to these defects my child head was slammed into the windshield of the vehicle.

Window motor/piece has broken in both back windows causing the glass in the back doors to fall down. Replacements are up to $400 for a very small piece which has to be replaced. This should be recalled. Also, the blinkers don't work sometimes but if the hazard button is pushed, then they will work for a while.
