For a car with plastic it wouldn't be a problem but i got bubbles forming on the rear right wheel well area and it's starting to break apart in some areas. Also the undercarriage is rusting out. The only way to prevent this or stop this is to first don't let snow or salt stick to the bottom and if you got a garage keep the car in there. There are some youtube videos on removing rust but it's difficult to say how bad it is or whether the problem is fixable on this particular car. It's a good idea to get it fixed and even rust proof it with some rustoleum paint, but these cars are notorious for rusting.
