Front end bearings. Have spoke to a few people that own Pontiac Grand Am. All have had to have at least one front end bearing replaced. When ispoke to the mechanic, he said that G.M. vehicles are known for their front end bearings going bad. Why do they know this, and nothing has been done or asked about it.consumers should not have to flip the bill for a part that may be faulty. Please ask G.M. if they could write me and answer this question.

Heard loud noise coming from front part tires while driving. I knew it wasn't the brakes. Took it to my regular mechanic and was told it was a bad wheel bearing. $400 later it was replaced. This is not my first problem with this car. 1st problem: Blower motor went, 2nd: Water pump went, 3rd: Was told ignition column needs to be replaced, 4th: Shoe over timing belt wore away because of water pump problem. There have been numerous other problems including replacement of the brakes. My car only has 53,000 miles on it and was bought brand new in June of 2000. For the money I have spent on it, I could've had a Lexus!

While driving, heard a loud noise which came from front end. Took vehicle to dealer. To correct the noise problem, the dealer installed new rotors and brakes in the front and back. The noise still continued and the dealer replaced the rack and pinion. Next, the dealer replaced the front wheel bearings. The dealer also agreed to replace the tires with Michelin brand.

ABS lights and "warning" lights are coming on dashboard, and there is vibration coming from vehicle during normal operation. Dealership has examined vehicle, and has replaced brake rotors and front wheel bearings. *akthe steering wheel shakes and the vehicle pulls to the right when brakes are applied. The vehicle fuel milage was poor about 17 mpg, also the speaker and alternator are noisy.
