Dealership can smell the problem. They said we were smelling coolant not gas fumes so they replaced the heater coil. (The dealer's mechanic broke two parts of the dash and can't seem to get the dash cover back on correctly - but that's another rant). The smell was gone for about 2 weeks and is now back. This started after we replaced the battery which we notice another complainer about this issue also mentioned. We have 2 Pontiacs and have owned at least one Pontiac since the 70's. Every previous Pontiac was a gem and pretty much indestructible but we have had so many problems with these last 2 Pontiacs we will never buy another Pontiac.
