WHILE DRIVING IN 55MP ZONE MY DAUGTHER SET CRUISE AT 55MPH. ABOUT .5MILE LATER SPEED BEGAN TO CLIMB. SHE TRIED TO HOLD SPEED DOWN FOR THE NET 3 MILES WITH BRAKES. SHE LOCKED THE BRAKES TO BRING THE CAR TO A STOP. WHEN I GOT THERE I RESTARTED CAR. ENGINE WAS RUNING 4000 RPM'S. HAD TO HAVE CAR TOWED TO LOCAL DEALER THEY DISCONNECTED CABLE FROM CRUISE CONTROL TO THROTTLE LINKAGE. CHARGED 40 DOLLARS AND ESTIMATED 480 DOLLARS TO REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL MODULE .
