My car stalled on me back in October of 2006 on a busy road. Luckily I was able to pull off onto a side road. It had problems starting but would eventually turn over. Thought it may be the battery, so I changed that out and thought it was fixed until the thing started having problems again. Turned out it was something with the Anti Theft System shutting the car off. Cost $500 bucks to fix the Passlock sytem and ignition on a relatively new car with low miles. 14 months later I am having problems again similar to that. Car does not fire up the first time unless I turn the key to On or Acc for a couple seconds. The other day the car died on me as I was pulling into the gym parking garage. Got someone to jump. Went to the store to check the battery, but it has plenty of juice. I hate this car and will never buy American made again. Worst thing is I got a phone call last Spring 07 about a recall on the repair that cost me $500. Called Gm and at first they were helpful and willing to look into reimbursing my expenses. They ended up calling me back each day and trying to hassle me about the repairs and said that the recall was not exactly about what my repairs were for. I just gave up. If GM builds there cars like this I hope they go out of business soon. Right now I fear driving my car on the interstate because of the thought it may stall on me at any moment. Totally unsafe. Any help much appreciated. I like to refer to this thing as my Death Mobile.
