Driver window clips snapped. I had to chisel the old ones off and glue some new ones on. I have done this once before, perhaps on a different window and have replaced multiple window regulators on this same car.

At this moment, the window is propped into the door (by a relative) and I can't open it, but that's a very short-term fix as it will only fall in again. This car has been a piece of junk from the day I brought it home! Just about every type of trim, inside and out, has broken or fallen off, there was a recall on the ignition switch for which I was only given a new key!!!! The rear view mirror fell off while I was driving on a highway! The cloth on the windshield visors and attached at the top is fraying badly and about to come loose altogether. Numerous pieces of rubber and fiberglass around the doors have come loose, broken, come off. I will never buy an American-made car again!

This piece of crap should never have been made because it was thrown together like junk and then sold for thousands of dollars more than it was worth. THAT is what wrecked the American car industry--no standards of quality! At this stage of my life, I'm a disabled senior citizen with a limited income and cannot afford to take this car to a dealer every time something goes wrong (which is constantly). I'm hoping I can get someone to fix the window problem cheaper than the amount your website lists.

Happened to both back passenger windows. I paid a mechanic to fix one at the tune of 500 bucks! My boyfriend fixed the other parts off amazon for about 50 bucks.

I went to roll the rear windows down and wasn't able to roll either one back up. I took it to Safelite repair to find out the regulators and motors needed replacing and was told its a common issue with these car.

The windows in this car drive me crazy. If you think in upper michigan this is not a safety issue try having the window fall down and it is a 40 below windchill outside. This happened and this was the second time. GM I really like my car. Now it is fall and the same thing is happening and again I need to pay for this repair. You would think after three times it would change but it does not. I know my car is an older car by your standards, but you have the same problem in newer ones. The best part I went to my GM dealer and they told me they would need to replace the whole window and wanted to charge me big bucks for GMC parts. That was crap as I did find a place that replaces the clips.

Grand Am GT 3.4L V6

Paid $75 to have fixed. Bottom of factory window clips broke off, shop got glass shavings in door and all along track, now window is etched. Broke again, glue failure. This time I fixed it myself. $5 tube of glue. Cause is that the tract path was designed to shift on way down which causes excess stress on the clips resulting in failure. Oh, driver side is the problem child. Gets the most use..

Grand Am GT Air Ram V6

i bought this 2004 Pontiac grand am gt in 2008. i thought that being a fairly newer car i was set as far as not dumping money into it! in 2009 my passenger side window stopped going up and down then fell into the door panel. the drivers side soon followed suit. i have had both sides done 3 times on each side and currently the passenger side needs to be fixed yet again. i have heard from other people that the 2 door models are known for this problem with the windows.
