Grand Am SE 3.4L
my wife came home from work complaining of no heat, low coolant light on,a odd burning smell and a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust
after dealing with many of these S**t BOX dexcooled 2.8 3.1 & 3.4 motors at my shop in the past
i pulled the motor, tore it down to find not only a cracked intake but also a hair line crack in the block between the # 3 cylinder and the coolant passage
well no more playing deal or no deal with dexcool
1 new cored block from miller machine
a ton of parts from the crew at INDY AUTO PARTS ( Peabody MA ).
and about 18 hours of down time at my shop you can't make any money on customers cars when yours is on the lift
so all said and done i'm into the complete motor for about $1300.00 in parts alone
dexcool cost me that and 2 days of not being able to get to customers cars
about another $2,000 in loss wages
so any reps from GM or dexcool out there want to let me know were you want me to send you a bill
thanks S**T bags it's been fun
