I just bought the car, and before I had purchased it the seller neglected to tell me that they had let it run out of gas, and hadn't had it filled in quite some time. However, the seller did this a lot with the car, and if you do it often you'll break your Fuel pump. Make sure you have gas in your car at all times, if the gas light comes on IMMEDIATELY fill it... otherwise you might end up paying $600+ to fix it.
