Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Was driving to va from oh when I pulled off to get gas and food. I tried to pull into a parking spot but couldn't turn lef without a struggle. I ended up having to stay overnight in a disgusting motel and have a friend drive 3 hours to pick me up then drive back because a new rack won't be in for a few days. Now I can't get the car until Friday because I have no way of getting out there to pick up my car until then.

GM claims it is not common for rack & pinion failure, but I've read a number of complaints on www.clubgp.com/forum/topic.asp"topic_id=6400626&forum_id=5&cat_id=1&forum_title=quality+%2F+problem+issues&topic_title=steering+rack web site. I almost had a accident with my son in the car, because of this failure. Are they waiting for people to die before any action"
