My 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT has had problems with the car stalling and dying without warning. It is very random. Typically, the car hesitates/stalls then the "tcs off" light comes on and the RPM meter hits 0. I have twice changed the catalytic converter because of this problem at the Pontiac dealer's suggestion.the problem still exist. What can be done as my car will shut off at any speed and will not restart immediately. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed. What can I do to get this defective condition fixed or repaired properly" does any other 2001 models have this problem"

The intake manifold gasket is causing a huge amount of consumers to replace parts in vehicles. The gasket leaks causing a mixture of antifreeze and oil causing engine damage. Even after the repair is done, because of design, it will just fail again. I just had it replaced 1 1/2 years ago, now I have to do it again.

Purchased this car used, it was 2 years old with about 21K miles. Kept up with all maintenance. Dealer extended warranty for 3 months. But did not notify me when the original manufacturers warranty expired so I was unable to extend. Purchased a platinum warranty from aaa. Transmission "blew up" at 48K miles. Had it replaced per warranty w/a used transmission as warranty would not pay for new one. Drove the car for 19 mos and 12K miles and transmission blew up again! dealer said warranty was only good on transmission for 1 year and they are making inquiries as to whether I have to pay for another one even though my contract w/aaa warranty co is good to 8/10/08 or 83,894 miles. Why is my car eating transmissions"?" help!

Automatic windows in vehicle have failed. The rear-passenger side windows has been fixed twice. The other three windows have gone out within a couple months of each other. The vehicle is only 2 years old and the windows have failed 5 times. Each repair cost approximately $350 a piece.

Air conditioning and heater will only work on max (number 5 blower speed). Blower speeds 1-4 do nothing, however, the fan? in the engine comes on when fan blower switch is turned to any on position. This car has had so many problems. Now I see why the foreign car market is booming because of their quality and reliability.
