Same problem as others. In July, right before vacation, wouldn't start. Had it towed. Started right up. Happened again on Oct. 25. Now at a garage. Haven't heard from them yet.
Weird things that have happened with it. Security light came on once for a few minutes. Check engine light has come on twice. (once I know it was the gas that I used).
He is a good mechanic, hopefully he will figure it out.
This is my second used Grand Am. The first one, 1996, was wonderful! Drove it everywhere, had over 200,000 miles on it. Only problems, instrument cluster had to be replaced, 2 window motors went out. Started having a problem with the front end and decided to get a "new to me" one. Since I had such great use of the first one, thought a newer model would be great. You see lots of them on the road. This one has the RAM AIR engine. I have no clue what that means.
It's a pretty car, looks good sitting in front of my house. I can't afford another car.
