My lights also fill up with water when it rains or I wash it. You would think that maybe they would have thought of that when they designed them. Since they are constantly wet, the silver backing that reflects the light corrodes and makes the lights dim. I got pulled over about a month ago specifically for this. I have also almost got rear ended a few times because they didnt see my lights.

I HAVE A 2002 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX AND THE TAIL LIGHTS LEAK. REAL EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE. I HAVE A COUPLE OF PONTIACS WITH LIGHTS DESIGNED IN LIKE MANNER AND THEY HAVE BEEN OK. I HAVE TALKED TO OTHER 97-03 G/P OWNERS AND IT SEEMS TO BE A GIVEN WITH THE DESIGN. IT IS ASHAME THE CAR IS GOING AWAY BUT...... I HAVE TRIED TO SILICONE THE TWO HALVES BACK TOGETHER BUT IT LOOKS CRUMMY AND STILL LEAKES. I DON'T KNOW IF PONTIAC WILL DO ANYTHING BUT I WOULD THINK NO SINCE THE CAR IS DEAD. IT IS TOO BAD SOMETHING SO SIMPLE HAS TO BE DESIGNED SO CRUMMY AND SO EXPENSIVE.
SIGNED. AN AVID GRAND PRIX OWNER.
