I had bought the car from a friend of a friend. The car is in pretty good condition with mainly highway miles on it. I noticed the problem shortly after I had bought it that every now and then my trip-o-meter wasn't coming on nor my A/C and later found out my automatic headlights were malfunctioning as well, but after a while of driving the trip would slowly start to come on unless I tried to turn on my A/C, which would result in my trip turning off again. When I figured out my automatic lights were being affected, I was going to town at night and my lights kept flickering unless I turned down my interior lights to almost nothing. Then the lights would stay steady.

I'm not able to confirm this but I feel like it does it more when I leave something plugged into the outlet when the car is off ( i;e my GPS). ost mornings when I start my car the trip will be off unless I tap it a little bit with my finger. If anyone has any idea how to fix this problem, please let me know.

Blower will only work on 5, 1-4 do not work at all. Headlights also turn off on settings 1-4. I discovered this problem driving home from work at 10:00pm-not a good experience to discover your headlights don't work as you're driving 45mph on a dark road!! I know from internet research, that this is a widespread problem. I have also read the solution is a new ignition switch. I have already had to replace the blower motor, blower motor resistor at least once, and countless heater control knobs. I am sick of fixing one thing only to have it break AGAIN, or have something else go wrong!! Next car I buy is a TOYOTA!!!!
