When I go to start my car, the engine will turn over but then it'll shutter and stall. My mechanic wasn't sure what it could be but he said it could be that I had water in the computer. One of my friends said that GM's seemed to have this problem a lot and that it was usually a bad coil. The stalling can usually be counteracted by giving the car some gas as I start it.

Sometimes on start up I'll have to hit the gas to get the car to actually start and if I don't, it will start and then turn right back off. Ive been told it may have to do with the security system but not quite sure. It doesn't always do this but it does do this on occasion.
