While driving to my sons house, the engine stopped. Fortunately I was not far from the house and was able to coast in. I was unable to restart the engine so I had the car towed to my house. I checked with the local GM dealer and was told that I was up to date on the recalls. A mechanic checked the car. It seems that the new ignition switch is faulty as well

The blower fan did not come on when I tried to use it with the air conditioning. I smelled a burning smell, and turned the fan to the off position. Fortunately, I was in the driveway at the time of attempting to turn on the fan. Upon having it inspected and removed, it had an obvious burned area. When I investigated the part number, it was apparent that there was a recall on the same part for Hummer and Chevy canyon and colorados. There was no recall or information regarding the same part for the Solstice. The part number is obsolete now because of the redesign of the part from known fire danger of the part. I find this highly negligent of GM to not make this a mandatory recall/or free repair and replacement. The liability associated with this safety issue concerns me greatly, since a fire with this part has been a problem. My life and those of my family should not have been put in danger by GM's lack of responsibility. If there was a fire while parked in my garage, that engulfed my home and family while GM was aware of the danger, the damages would be astronomical in grief and financially. The evidence of the melted parts clearly is proof of the fire problem with this part. Depending upon the response to my situation and complaint, I will follow up with other authorities, legal avenues and information networks. Sincerely, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Passenger airbag sensor broken/defective. I started the car one morning and the "service air bag" came on. I took it to a mechanic, who said the seat sensor in the passenger seat is broken. He told me it was a common problem for this model, and advised me to file this complaint.

Recall 2007 for rear axle pinion seal and for air bags, electrical system. An going issue for these vehicles which GM refuses to take responsibility for. Both were "repaired" in original recall but are recurring. I made contact with GM and they will not take any action on either problem. The vehicle has 51000 original miles. Repairs cost me over $3500 for both on 6/19/2015. GM case # 71-1488399100.

I recently took my 2007 Pontiac Solstice into a local GM dealership to have the ignition switch replaced. Within less of a month my vehicle'a engine light has came on, my car indicates that my gas cap is loose, an I am having issues with the transmission shift. When I purchased the vehicle I believe the car dealership knew of the issues prior and did not relay the information to me. My car is too dangerous to drive and I am unable to purchase a new vehicle. I may lose my job because a faulty car that was sold to me !

When I go to slow down either by coasting or light braking when my car gets to about 20mph it feels like it suddenly brakes or down shifts but if it were not for the seat belt it would send the driver and passengers into the windshield!! it is terrifying!! I am a master mechanic and I verified that it wasn't the brakes grabbing by shifting the car into neutral before it slowed to 20 mph and when you do that the car will not suddenly jerk stopped. It sets many codes tcm etc. I had the tcm replaced and synced at dealership but the car is still doing it. The code now reads that "communication to the tcm is lost" I was told by GM when speaking to them about the latest recall on the ignition switch that they said it could be related because the ignition switch recall affects the car shutting off, rolling away and the airbag inoperative light. Many other Pontiac Solstice owners are having the same problem. It is very dangerous and is going to cause accidents if not fixed. Please help.
