Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Have had the vehicle to the dealer a number of times (3) for multiple front end lighting system failures of various components. Failure has always been linked to issues with the wiring harness.

Prior to incident being reported, a burning rubber odor could be detected while standing beside vehicle after normal operation. Then, on 04-Jan-2002, vehicle was parked for approximately 20 minutes when a neighbor informed owner there was a fire underneath the car. Owner started vehicle and moved vehicle away from the fire, leaves were burning. Consumer noticed that a long cable attached to front-axle was dangling from undercarriage, and was charred in middle from the fire. An inspector from manufacturer examined vehicle and informed consumer there was no problem with car. Manufacturer refused to provide consumer with a copy of the report. Please provide any additional information / documentation.
