As I'm holding the brakes at a stop, my car will randomly rev and accelerate without the gas pedal being pushed. someone had suggested to me to check and see if the brakes are snagging on the throttle cable. so i checked and that isn't the problem. for now I'm stuck putting the car in neutral while at a stop but i would like to know why this is happening and what can be done to fix it.
