Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. NHTSA — Electrical System: Wiring Problems Seal Of This Might Hurt Notes: No heat, no air conditioning, and visibility issues because of a busted defogger system. Basically, anything coming out of a vent in the 2006 Torrent is broken.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the wiring system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 78,100.

: the contact stated the vehicle stalled on two occasions. The first incident was at an intersection while attempting to make a turn. The malfunction and reduced engine power indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a service dealer, where the problem was identified as a faulty PCM wiring. On the second incident, while accelerating from a stopped position, to 5 mph, the malfunction and reduced engine power indicators illuminated, before the vehicle stalled. The service dealer and manufacturer were contacted.
