I just bought this SUV hopping it would be better than my little Saturn I had and more trusting. But so far it has proven not safe to put children or baby's in. The seat belts either don't iach or don't unlatch. I just had to replace my evap at 111,687 miles. I seen that other people have had the same problem and it has not yet been a recall at all. And the engine makes a chugging sound when in park while running. It sounds like it wants to die and not stay running. I notice that when I was at a gas station. I will not put any of my children or my family's children in this SUV because of the problem I am having. It's a safty hazard that needs to be taken to consideration. I hope this gets looked more into before someone dies or a childs life is taken.

On delivery of 2006 Pontiac Torrent on July 10, 2015, I experienced while driving on the highway at 70 mph, the overwhelming smell of gas fuel emitting within the interior. I also noticed after leaving the dealership the motor began to sound as if I was escalating into the atmosphere on an airplane to 13000 feet in the air. The vehicle is very inviting, however; the exterior paint as well as the interior has touched up prior to resale.

Vehicle purchased new from quebedeaux Buick in tucson Arizona. Serviced for defective parts twice: Visor accessory, struts all maintenance up to date, oil, filters, breaks, etc. A couple of weeks ago the car was emitting gas vapor smells. Within the week it became progressively worse. Took vehicle to certified mechanic for check up. After diagnostics, several other exhaust testing, he pulled the gas tank to see where the leak was coming from. The fuel module was cracked. Replacement GM part was ordered and installed. ($673.16) part only. Upon inspecting the original part, I inquired on the part number etched on the oem part. GM P/N 15804318 this part number can?T be found on the GM parts lists. It will not cross reference to any casting part number either.a second part number was etched below the GM part number: F00hk00203 (Bosch mfg) researching the part it is chinese and there is no direct reference to the required GM parts list or suitable substitute. Could not find direct reference on the niparts.com website. The only place I could cross reference the Bosch part number was niparts.com is this a substandard defective part" the exact issues on fuel module recalls affected the Pontiac Torrent 2007 " 2009. I believe that the same issue affects the 2006 Pontiac Torrent. It appears to be a serious safety hazard. Easily confused with replacing the gas tank cap instead of looking into the possibility that it is a more serious issue.I think further investigation should be made.

There have been many occasions of my car completely shutting down while driving. I have had it to mechanics many times no one can seem to figure this issue out. I am currently having the recall fixed for the ignition switch. I have read plenty of complaints 1 to many I shall say. And believe me I don't want to put myself, my child or anyone else in danger but this is my only vehicle and I can not afford to buy another one. I would just hope some one can figure this problem out. I don't even care if its a recall although it should be for the many complaint. I just wanna know what the problem is and how to fix it.

The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac Torrent. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted a strong gasoline fuel odor. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who inspected the vehicle. The failure was located at the fuel line. The fuel lines were made with defective plastic that was not heat resistant, causing the plastic fuel line to crack and leak. The fuel pump and lines had to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and they advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 12V459000 (fuel system, gasoline: Delivery: Fuelpump). The failure mileage was 45,000 and the current mileage was 50,000.

The vehicle had a strong fuel smell at the rear of the vehicle while parked, I think the fuel cap is not good anymore and I bought a new one, but I still have the same problem with the fuel smell, I was checking in the internet if somebody have the same problem and witch was my surprise, that many people with the same car year 2006 and 2007 have the same problem, the problem that more of the people report when they went to the GMC, Pontiac and Buick dealer or repair shop, they found the fuel line had cracked at the fuel pump module on top of the fuel tank and fuel was spraying from the fracture.
