These cars are meant to be bullet proof and I've blown 2 engines in two years driving sensibly - My recommendation would be to leave well alone as the service and customer care is appalling.

Everyone is aware of this problem if you own a Boxter or 911. It is also apparent that if you are out of warranty, it is on you to fix. Porsche Goodwill Owners Assistance is absolutely useless. They just go through the motions to act as if they care. From what I understand from my local dealer is that they had never any success in PGOA. Having said this, I'm trying to get some facts on number of failures and names and vin#'s of cars that have failed. I will be buying a advertisement page on WSJ for an ad on this issue. I'm afraid the class action lawsuit is not really going to help anyone except lawyers. If you are a victim, please e-mail me at through this website. I will be in contact with you. Let's all get together and show Porsche how unsatisfied we are as customers!
