2015 Ram Big Horn 4x4 Quad Cab. My 3rd brake light is leaking water into my vehicle. The storage compartment under the back passenger seat is constantly filled with water. Took my vehicle in to the dealership and AGAIN was notified that this was a common problem. Their option to fix it was to apply silicone to the surrounding area of the light. My immediate response was a resounding NO. There is another option to fix this KNOWN PROBLEM but it would cost them money, IE: an upgraded 3rd brake light with new gasket which is not a back ordered item.

Again, I'm not fixing it because it doesn't pay. My issue with the leaking 3rd brake light is that I have found water as far forward as my front passenger floor board. What long term issues am I going to have with my electrical system due to the continuous onslaught of water being introduced where it's not supposed to be? To add more to this, my headliner has obvious signs of water damage as does the carpet, padding and rear seats. What is Dodge going to do to remedy this issue?

water leaks into the vehicle

I've researched the same issue I'm having - noticed its very moist/ damp under rear seat storage on the floor. I've read the third brake lights have poor seals, this is ridiculous. The light should have been sealed a lot better. This can ruin several things.

water leaks into the vehicle

Found water leaking into the front of the cab after a good rain down through the grab handle post on the passenger side. Also leaking at the top center console dripping down into the cupholders between the seats.

I found this same issue detailed on the Ram Forum https://www.ramforum.com/threads/interior-water-leak.126103/ and will be taking my 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie into the dealer to fix it. I suspect it's the sunroof seal, but not sure. The sunroof has been opened only a few times since I bought this truck new.

Anyone have a solution or fix to try?

I bought this truck Sept 2015 from dealer in SC. SC had the 1000 year flood and my truck starting leaking on Oct 5, 2015 and has leaked every rain in the Lexington SC area but twice since that time. I have taken truck back to dealer 7 times for repair and each time they said it was repaired but truck continued to leak. Two of those times they supposedly had a water specialist come in to fix and both of those times it continued to leak. I finally contacted RAM who got in touch with dealer. They scheduled to bring it in again. This time they said it was leaking at windshield. I was instructed to take to an auto glass dealer. After about an hour they found the problem to be the sunroof module and the sunroof needs to be replaced. So after 16 months, a competent business found out what is wrong with the truck. They did tell me there was much water damage done to all the electrical, electronics, headliner and other parts that over time I would have multiple problems even after having sunroof replaced. Also after the dealer does replace the sunroof I have no confidence that they will complete repair correctly and will continue to have problems with it leaking. I honestly believe RAM should replace the vehicle with a new one as this truck will never be worth what I paid and I will continue to have issues.

Update from Jul 4, 2017: After truck leaked water for over a year. Leaking was finally corrected by replacing sunroof module but now having so many electrical/electronic issues. Cooling seat blower motors making loud noise, cruise control won't engage all the times, key fobs don't respond properly, GPS not working correctly.
