I have a 2004 Saab 9-3. today, I exited my car and when I closed the door, the adhesive holding the glass to my side view mirror failed(the mirror/glass fell to the ground). This is the first time this has happened to me. I feel that this is a serious concern because I use my mirrors all the time while driving and making safe lane changes. I now have a drivers side mirror(glass) that is no longer there. I feel this is a serious safety issue. Many people have certain medical issues that will not allow them to completely turn their neck/torso to the left to view oncoming traffic while trying to merge. If a person with said problem lost the ability to view their mirror they will be forced to blindly merge into lanes that they cannot be sure are clear and safe. Furthermore, I looked into replacing the mentioned mirror and came upon this website. (https://www.internetglassnetwork.com/ssl/Saab/9_3.htm) you can clearly read that this is a very common problem.
