When driving the car, at about 50 mph it will begin to feel like the wheels are cutting loose, like you are on gravel. It has also begun to make a howling noise that seems to be coming from the wheels? nobody seems to really be able to pinpoint the problem. We have thought maybe it had to do with traction control. It sent my husband into the ditch though. We're lucky it didn't send him into traffic!

During turns at low speed, vehicle slips, making it very hard to steer. It feels like the vehicle is slipping on loose gravel. Additionally, there is a low "howl" noise in the rear of the vehicle. My mechanic diagnosed this as a defect in the slip differential and recommended replacing the fluid. I have completed that service twice and the condition has not improved or gone away.

When turning vehicle jumps and bumps and makes a whining noise. Feels like car is riding on gravel and freezes and holds like all 4 wheels are grabbing and does not want to roll (crow hopping). Repairs are over $2,000. Dealership says it is the transfer case however after the rear end service was completed problem still remained. Problem was misdiagnosed and they said they had repaired the rear pinion bearing which I received a full refund for as this did nothing to solve the problem.

When the steering wheel is near locked (virtually fully engaged in a tight radius turn) the rear differential of the vehicle and wheels begin to slip, appear as though the vehicle is on gravel and wheel hop and "crow hopping" occurs and the driver is unable to make the vehicle go forward or backward under power. My wife has been complaining about this condition since we purchased the vehicle and there are tsb's from GM on the condition. I was driving the vehicle and made a tight radius turn the other day and was nearly broadsided by another vehicle as I pulled into the right away the vehicle could no longer be powered to move forward due to the condition. As the wheel is straighten the ability to move the vehicle returns. This is an intermittent condition but well documented by many drivers on the web. Please force a recall before someone is killed. The dealers seem to be well aware of the condition but apparently cannot "duplicate the condition" or so they say. I am fighting with GM (as I purchased an extended warranty from GM) to make the necessary corrections.
