Sunroof defect - have owned vehicle since Oct. 2010. Nov. 2013 was our first sunroof leak, thinking it was a windshield issue. Had that checked out (and, of course, charged for a sealing by abra auto body), but a few weeks later, dealership ran thru garage car wash and had the same problem of leaking thru sunroof, passenger front side! there was definitely some whooshing-water like sounds before the first few times the leak happened. The dealership claims to have cleaned "debris" out of the tubing mechanism. Five months later, the leak is back. Not having used the sunroof for most of that time due to winter, of course. First repair which the dealership said they did not repair, but rather fixed, was to clean out gutter/tubing. Now, May 2014 the same issue and again, they cleaned out tubing and put some silicone on the rubber gasket area. We refused to pay for labor this time ($90) for the same defective problem when the sunroof hadn't been used. The manager reluctantly agreed. In addition, the manager quizzed us whether the vehicle sat inside (99% inside garage) or outside. This should not matter. Also, suggested too not to run it thru power car washes. We don't mind now having to check to keep "debris" out of the sunroof track, but have never had this issue with any of our other older and newer vehicles with sunroofs. We have already sunk a lot of money into this vehicle unfortunately and don't feel we should have to yet again pay for a defective design by GM when it happens again which it will. I have already submitted an email to Saturn (cac@Saturn.com), GM (socialmedia@GM.com) and www.saturnforumoutlook.net. the later is helpful in that you are not alone with your vehicle complaints and battles. In fact, many at this site have been charged well over $500 to replace the defective tubing. Shame on GM!

We noticed that we were getting water in the car coming from the rearview mirror. We were finding water dripping through sunroof and going to the mug box. We noticed electrical problems also: The heating/cooling motor in the front of the car stopped to work and we have to change it. The buttons for rear wiper does not work anymore. The water overflows into the car and after a rainstorm we had 1.5 inches water below driver and passenger seats. I know that there has been several customers that had similar problems with the sunroof drains. It is a poor design that the Saturn Corp.

The headlights went out while I was driving home in the early evening, reducing my visability and the ability for others to see my vehicle. Fortunately, it wasn't night yet and I was still able to navigate home, however had it been just an hour later it would have been completely dark and siginificantly more unsafe for this incident to have occurred. The wiring harness is a known defect by GM and steps should be taken to remedy it. This can create unsafe road conditions for Saturn Outlook drivers.

The contact owns a 2008 Saturn Outlook. The contact stated that water was leaking into the vehicle from the sunroof and causing the electrical system to malfunction. The parking brake signal would sporadically illuminate with a chiming noise. The manufacturer advised the contact that a manufacturer's recall was currently out for the failure but the contact's VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 42,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Windshield wipers stopped midcycle wipe and would not move up or down. This has occurred twice now, the first time around April 12th, 2008 and now today (May 7th, 2008). After the first incident the vehicle was taken to the dealership for service, where it was discovered that the locking nut between the wiper motor and the wiper linkage had come loose/off. The incident today caused two near miss accidents while my wife got the vehicle off the road and into a parking lot as we are experiencing extremely heavy rainfall.
