I understand that the vehicle is from 2001, and unsure of how the car was treated by the previous owners, having to deal with a slipping transmission was annoying. After about 3 months, the transmission stopped shifting, the RMPs would go up to 4 while going 30/40 mph. Eventually, I couldn't go faster than 25 miles an hour and had to stay away from the highways all together until the transmission was fixed. It cost roughly $1,600 and a week to get a different transmission.

3 months after that, and an oil change though, the car is shifting just fine as long as you don't gun the gas.
