Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

bought car on 10-17-02 told at delivery missing a part,not important just don't use intermittent wiper mode till part comes in.We found out on 12/12/02 that this car came from factory with frayed wire harness due to mis positioning of harness,bad GL switch and wiper not working.They Saturn of Smithtown N.Y. changed above parts on 9/4/02,on delivery day 10/17/02 amazing wiper not working right again!Missing part story comes up, nothing at all LIKE THE TRUTH, this car was bad from the factory and we thought we had the fix and were wrong.Part comes in we make an appointment go in on 11/27/02, they take one and a half hours and tell us car is fixed, under warranty no charge.12/11/02 at night in rain wipers fail, burning fuses left and right.12/12/02call dealership find out 11/27/02 repair consisted of"turned on wipers they worked that day" sent car out, they didn't even put the "mystery part"in that day,Surprise!12/13/02 Bring car back one and a half hour job turns into four hours at which point service says we can't program new part(BCmodule) don't know why need more time , here is a rental, we leave with rental call Saturn headquarters inform them of defective car and deceit involved and there response at this point is "It's over 30 days,we can't do anything" I respond it shouldn't matter since I did not know the truth before12/12/02.Your people lied,did not disclose this existing,very serious electrical situation till a parts guy slipped and said to me the car was seen 3 times for this and I said WHAT??? and this was the beginning of the truth coming out.It stinks that a dealership would pass this problem onto a customer when they had like 20 other vues in stock when I bought mine and could have given me another car, don't trust anyone ask to see the delivery and service records before you take the car out of the show room, if there are any recorded problems RUN!!!! This is not over if we don't get satisfaction from Saturn at least maybe some one out there will be saved from petty thieves by this information.
