The 2006 Scion TC has the most complaints, & the most-reported problem is with the 2007 TC for shifts roughly.

    Scion needs to recall this as every single Scion TC owner encounters this problem. If you lift the trunk by the handle, the panel will break off with the same amount of force it would take to lift ANY OTHER VEHICLE'S TRUNK DOOR.     This piece of crap piece came off because barely pulling on it will break the TWO flimsy plastic pieces holding it on. I can no longer open my trunk because this piece falls off every time.     ive seen about 10 -12 scions same year with this same issue, some pieces are completely off, i taped mine on because it looks like crap without it. Why is there not a recall? who uses plastic screws to hold a piece that opens your trunk?? Read more »

    Went to open the rear hatch, which I've none numerous times. And tonight it completely broke (Snapped) right off. So now my rear hatch panel is hanging on by a wire.
