My Scion IQ has a 5" X 8" opening to allow fresh air to the heater / AC blower motor under the body panel under the windshield wipers. This opening allows mice to build nest and store nuts into the blower motor. My blower motor is making an awful noise again. This is the second time I have removed pecans from the blower motor. This is poor engineering on Toyota. A simple wire mesh over the hole would fix the issue. I contacted Toyota and they don't understand the issue. My brother-in-law works at a Toyota dealership in the maintenance area and said they have 5 to 10 Toyota vehicles of all models a week with nuts and or nest in the blower motor. Some stink with a dead rodent in the blower motor. Toyota needs to be accountable and resolve the issue! Let's all make some noise!

place a wire mesh over the opening under the body panel
