Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

2007 Scion tC Owner Comments

problem #1

Feb 252007

tC 4-cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 560 miles

Car purchased with 61 miles on 2/18/2007. During driving at 50 mph on the highway encountered a piece of wood, approx. 2"X4"X12". unavoidably ran over wood and got a flat tire. Took vehicle to a tire shop on 2/25/07 with 560 miles on it and they saw no tire damage, no vehicle damage, but the wheel was cracked along the seam. Toyota of el cajon, ca denied warranty coverage saying it was due to an impact, even though they admittedly noticed that it looked like a possible defect in the wheel. Vehicle is a 07 Scion Tc.
