CarComplaints.com Notes: Is burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles normal? Depends on who you ask. While Subaru says it's within "normal specifications," owners wonder why they need to top off their oil reservoir 4 times between every 5,000 mile oil change.

airbags did not deploy in accident

My wife hit a deer at 65 mph with her 2014 Forester, as you can see the damage was extensive yet the airbags did not deploy? I do not know if this involves the Takata recall or not but it is very disconcerting to own a vehicle that we can't trust the airbags to deploy. This should be addressed by Subaru immediately as it is a safety issue!

Recently I had an accident where my car was hit by a VAN. My car was not stationary but was at a lesser speed than the car which hit. I was taking a left turn when the VAN hit. The impact was a lot such that the other cars airbags got deployed. More damage was done to my car. The entire front of the car is gone. I was surprised as to how unsafe my car was as the airbags did not get deployed.
