I was driving a friend to a Dr.'s appointment and pulling in to the parking lot slowly. Made a right turn into a space and then tapped lightly on the gas pedal to go a bit further and then put my foot on the brake as the car accelerated and went over the cement brick at the end of the parking space, then over the sidewalk and into a brick building. People who worked in the building ran out to see what happened. And someone called 911. The firemen, police, and ambulance arrived. No one was hurt. Physically we were in good shape, but we were really in shock. My car is being repaired and I will be able to get it in a couple of days.

Outback 2.5I Limited V4

  • CVT transmission
  • 400 miles

At low speeds, the car does a mini-surge as though the driver is pushing the gas pedal a little extra and then releasing pressure quickly. Very annoying and not comfortable for the passengers. Usually happens at less than 35 miles per hour.
